Online / Zoom Courses
In 2023 I am teaching all new classes via a fortnightly Zoom call. In the main I find students work best with personal contact. Extensive workbooks and writing exercises that will stimulate and challenge will be emailed a fortnight before the first Zoom class and for the duration of the course. As students finish each exercise, they will email them to me for feedback which will occur during the Zoom call or via email. The Zoom class will be recorded in case anyone misses the class. Most courses require an input of at least four hours, including reading time, per module. Numbers will be restricted to a maximum of eight per class.

Poems in the Air
Poems in the air is a Zoom based advanced poetry workshop primarily as a follow-up for students of Making Fine Poems and by invitation only. There will be 10 monthly sessions in 2024. As many students discover, it is hard to keep up the motivation for writing poetry when you finish a course. In each session Diane will give a prompt at the start of the class and students will be given 15-20 minutes to write something and then read it back. Over the following month, students will be encouraged to send the revised poem via Word plus an additional exercise. In the next session we will be able to read the poems on screen and discuss them. Students will be limited to a maximum of 6.
