The Manuscript Class 2
This monthly (11 sessions) workshop-based programme provides participants with on going support while they work on a major writing project (any genre) (i.e. a novel, collection of short stories, poems, or a memoir) and focuses on developing critiquing skills. Every fortnight students will critique or receive feedback at some depth, from the class and the tutor on student manuscript extracts. Tutor and peer feedback enables students to more clearly evaluate their own writing while peer support encourages completion of the work. Acceptance into this course is based on having completed a previous course in Creative Writing, or relevant educational achievement such as a degree in English, or having a publication record. Sessions are monthly to allow students time to present work and to prepare peer critiques. Class is limited to 6 students.
